Form drift called inside the rep. Not after the set.
Bakyasri measures joint angles against ideal form the moment they move. When your back angle starts to slip mid-squat, the correction fires before the rep finishes - not on a review screen you'll never open.
What happens inside a single rep.
A worked example of a barbell back squat, from lockout to lockout, and where the corrections fire along the way.
- t + 0.0sRep starts - lockout captured.
Pose baseline recorded. Hip line, knee angle and back angle stored as the reference for this rep.
- t + 0.4sDescent begins - hip hinge tracked.
Back angle streams to the correction model. Anything past the drift threshold triggers a live callout, not a post-set note.
- t + 0.9sBack angle drifts past threshold.
The overlay flashes coral, the audio cue reads "keep your back straighter", and the drift is written to the rep record.
- t + 1.3sDepth checked at bottom of rep.
Range of motion measured against your calibrated depth. If the rep undershoots, it does not count toward the set.
- t + 1.9sAscent - lockout re-checked.
Rep is counted, drift is logged against the joint that failed, form score is written to the set.
Joints tracked continuously
Head, shoulders, elbows, wrists, hips, knees, ankles. Seventeen points, every frame.
Angles measured against ideal form
Twelve angles per rep, compared to the target range for the lift you selected.
Correction fires in-rep
Overlay flash, audio cue, and a written line in the rep record - all before the rep is done.
Calibrated to your body
Depth and mobility baselines are set on first-run, not assumed from a generic chart.
Works on the camera you have
Laptop webcam, phone camera or a gym floor rig - no wearable, no sensor clip, no chest strap.
Processed as pose data
Video is read as joint coordinates in the moment. Footage is not stored as a file by default.
Choose a lift. The camera reads the rep, and calls the drift.
This is not a video. It is the actual Bakyasri overlay, driving on a synthesised rep pattern so you can see the pose tracking, rep counter and drift call - live - before you ever point a camera at yourself.
